Aris D. Larson

Aris D. Larson, 95, of Mayville, ND died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Sanford Mayville Hospital in Mayville, ND. Aris Dettloff Larson was born July 18, 1916 at Fort Rice, ND to Frederick and Emma (Niemeier) Dettloff. She married Carl J. Larson on September 21, 1936. They resided in Bismarck and Wahpeton, ND before moving to Mayville in 1938. Carl died in 1999 and Aris continued to live in Mayville. Aris was a very active community member. She was an active member of Mayville Lutheran Church, past Matron of Eastern Star, a past president of Woman’s Club, a former board member and volunteer at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, a volunteer at Mayville State University and a volunteer at Union Hospital for many years. She leaves a son: Steven J. Larson (Laurel) of Mayville; daughter: Andrea Larson (Darrell Stoebner) of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren: Christina Larson of Sommersworth, New Hampshire, Samantha Pannier (Gregg) of Berwick, Maine and Melissa Larson (Quenton Bowden) of Palmdale, California; four great-grandchildren: Aris and Ajax Pannier, James and Josephine Bowden. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother Duane. Visitation: Will be on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5 ~ 7 PM at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2012 at Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
