Fred Enger Jr., 81, of Hatton, ND died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton. Fred was born May 29, 1930 on the family farm in Enger Township, rural Hatton, the son of Fred and Clara (Bye) Enger. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Little Forks Lutheran Church near Hatton. Fred attended country school in Enger Township. After his schooling, he continued to work on the family farm throughout his life. Fred retired from farming in the fall of 1988 and moved into Hatton. He entered the Hatton Prairie Village in the spring of 2011. Fred was a lifelong member of the Little Forks Lutheran Church. In his spare time he liked to socialize with relatives and friends he had in the surrounding communities. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Douglas and Clark Enger; and three brothers-in-law, Curtis Anderson, H.C. Bill Roholt and Robert Gramstad. Fred is survived by four sisters, Monica Anderson, Dorothy Enger, Mary Roholt all of Mayville, ND and Donna Gramstad of Roseville, MN; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Enger of Hatton, ND and Nathalie Enger of Northwood, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday, 10/28/2011, at Little Forks Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND. Visitation: Will be 3–5 PM Thursday, 10/27/2011 with a 5 PM public prayer service at Hatton Prairie Village Chapel, Hatton, ND, and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Little Forks Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hatton, ND.
