Francis John Waclawik (Froggy), 69 Page, ND died at home after a short battle with cancer, Monday, May 21, 2007 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Francis was born August 3, 1937, in Page, ND to Frank and Dorothy (Robinson) Waclawik. He attended Page School, and married Wilma Lavina Dahm at St. James Catholic Church in Page ND, on April 12, 1958. Francis and Wilma farmed side-by-side for 30 years. Francis enjoyed farming so much; he was fortunate to be able to continue that passion, by helping various farmers for many years after retiring. Francis and Wilma traveled throughout the United States, settling in Arizona most winters. In the later years their grandchildren would often accompany them on trips. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church until 2005, when it closed. Froggy enjoyed his morning coffee along with the deck of cards and dice box for many years. He is survived by five daughters, Pam Reinen, Page ND, Julie (Joel) Dahl, Fargo ND, Vicki Waclawik (Scott Carlson), Audubon MN, Janet (Mark) Gran, Horace ND, Laurie (Rich) Quamme, Wahpeton ND; six grandchildren, Nicole, Angela, and Rachel Carlson, Brandon Reinen, Courtney Dahl, and Gina Quamme; three brothers, Elvin (Adeline), John (Virginia), and Gary (Mary) Waclawik; Sisters-in-law, Doloris Waclawik, Dorothy Waclawik, and Donna Busch; brothers-in-law; Roy Dahm and Gerald Dahm. He is preceded in death by his wife Wilma Lavina Waclawik in 2005, parents Frank & Dorothy Waclawik, brothers Edward Waclawik and Peter Waclawik, and brother-in-law Rudy Busch. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, May 25, 2007, at 10:30 AM, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND. VISITATION: Thursday, May 24, 2007, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND, and one hour prior to the service, at the church.
